Conception of the Night: Art Inspired Dreams

“Conception of the Night: Art Inspired Dreams” seeks to explore the boundless landscapes of dreams and their impact on artistic expression. Dreams have long been a source of inspiration for artists, providing a surreal and imaginative space where reality blends with the subconscious.

Opening Reception Friday, August 4th, 6-8pm

Gallery Hours: Wednesday-Friday, 5-8pm and Saturday, 11am-4pm

This is a fundraiser for Martha’s House in Hancock, Md.

Adam Calvert, Josie Award Nominee, will be performing with opening acts Mack Berry Band, and Elly Cooke on the IWI Mobile Stage.

This is year number 1 of the 2 Mile Music Fest. This is a donation only event and all proceeds are being matched up to
$2500 by Modern Woodmen of America. Brings chairs or blankets as this is an outdoor event. Refreshments will be available, family friendly, Free Parking.

On Sunday, August 27th at 7:00 pm, come see Guilford Station a Bluegrass group. All concerts are FREE and held at the Chambersburg Memorial Park Kiwanis Bandshell. Welcoming a smoke-free environment, lawn chairs, blankets, foods, and non-alcoholic beverages!

The regular Annual Meeting of the Mount Zion Cemetery Association will be held at 5494 Wayne Rd. Chambersburg, PA on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 7:00 pm for the reading of the yearly report, election of a trustee, and any other business that may properly come before the meeting.

St. Paul United Women in Faith is sponsoring a giant yard sale to benefit missions on Thursday, September 7, from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (extended evening hours on Thursday only), Friday, September 8, from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and Saturday, September 9, from 8:00 AM – noon. The sale will be held in the Family Life Center of St. Paul United Methodist Church located at 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. In addition to lots of yard sale “treasures,” there will be clothing, collectibles, household items, electronics, sporting goods, books, toys, and more. Pap’s Dog Stop Hotdog and Sausage Cart will be on site each day. Yard sale proceeds will be distributed to many local missions such as Women in Need, BOPIC, Meals on Wheels, Franklin County Homeless Shelter, and other missions administered through the United Women in Faith organization. The job fair will include on-the-spot interviews, tours of the manufacturing facility, and same-day job offers to qualified applicants. Available roles include machine operators, sanitation, processers, and material handling.
