Hagerstown Model RR Museum Model Train Sale @ Washington County Agricultural Educational Center

Show is the Winter Sales event of the Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum featuring Model Trains and Railroad Collectibles. The show is held at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center (7313 Sharpsburg Pike) 9AM to 1:30 PM and has plenty of parking. The location is on Rt. 65 (I-70 Exit 29) about 6.5 miles south of the Hagerstown Outlets and 3 miles north of the Antietam National Battlefield. Adult $5.00, Children 12 and under Free. Tables are 8 foot and cost $30.00 per table. This event is part of the fund raising activities of the Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum to help maintain Antietam Station located in Sharpsburg, MD.

Friends of Legal Services Book Drop-Off @ Mobile Works

The 38th Annual Friends of Legal Services Book Sale will take place on Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, at its new location—Fayetteville Elementary School, 8 E. Main St. in Fayetteville. “We are thrilled with our new location and grateful to the school for making its facilities available for this wonderful community event,” said Sue DeVos, the group’s President. “We look forward to welcoming book lovers and bargain hunters to the sale.”

The group will be collecting books for the sale starting with two Book Drop-off Days—Saturday, March 2 and Saturday, March 23 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mobile Works building, 2116 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg (next to Snavely’s Garden Corner). In addition, collection boxes will be placed at various stores and offices in the area from April 8 through April 21, at locations to be announced. The group accepts new and used books, plus CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games, but not encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records. Receipts for tax purposes will be available on request.

The Greencastle Lions Club will hold their Pancake Day on Saturday, March 9, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. It will be held at the Greencastle-Antrim Middle School, 370 South Ridge Ave, Greencastle. Menu items include: pancakes, eggs, sausage (pork and turkey), orange juice, coffee. Advance tickets are $7; at the door $8; children under 10 $3. A Celtic Celebration – St Patrick’s Day Folk Dances from the Emerald Isle & Bonnie Scotland @ Franklin County Visitors Center

Discover Danceworks (501c3) hosts a Celtic Ceilidh for St Patrick’s Day with popular Irish and Scottish folk & country
dances to traditional music. Come and enjoy this Celtic fun filled evening and join in the dances with your local instructors Nancy Walker and Jef Savage who will teach the dances. No previous experience needed. The basic dance steps are walking to music. For age 12 & up. Singles are WELCOME ~ You do not need to bring a partner!!! We make sure everyone who wants to dance will have the opportunity.
