Hagerstown Model RR Museum Inc. February 2025 Train Show @ Hagerstown Model RR Museum, Inc.at Antietam Station

The Hagerstown Model RR Museum, Inc. will be holding its annual February Train Show on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9 AM to 1:30 PM at the Washington
County, MD Ag Center, located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713.  There will be tables of vendors selling model trains of various scales, along with railroad artifacts.  Admission is $5.00 per person, children 12 and under are free.  Plenty of free parking and the site is handicap accessible.  Food and drink will be available on site for purchase.  At this time, due to lack of volunteers, we do plan on opening the historic Antietam Train Station to the public during the show.

Waynesboro Indoor Guard & Percussion Show @ Waynesboro Area Senior High School Gymnasium

The Waynesboro, PA Band Auxiliary will be hosting Beats in the Boro 2025, our annual show sanctioned by the Keystone Indoor Drill Association highlighting indoor guard and percussion ensembles from throughout PA, MD, VA & WV. The show will be held on February 22, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Waynesboro, PA High School gym. Over thirty (30) units will be featured, including the Waynesboro Indoor Guard & Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Admission is $10.00 for adults, and $8.00 for students and senior citizens, under 5 are free. Card readers are on site for cashless admission and concessions. Mountain Music and Moonshine @ The Capitol Theatre

We’re gathering some local bluegrass bands, Dead Horse Revival and Circa Blu, to perform one heck of a musical rodeo at our 2025 Mountain Music & Moonshine event! Whiskey, bourbon, beer, and moonshine will be available starting when the doors open at 6pm, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and concessions. Enjoy your drinks and snacks throughout the night as you either sit back and relax, or get up and dance to this banjo-picking concert made for the genre’s history books! Cabin Fever Music Fest @ The Orchards Restaurant and Banquet Facility

On March 1, the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will host its ‘Cabin Fever Music Fest’ (https://cvas-pets.org/2025cabinfever/) at The Orchards Restaurant and banquet facility in Chambersburg, featuring a variety of music from the 1960s to the present day, including country classics and dance music. Five popular bands are donating their time and talent for the event: The Jill Fulton Band, Soleil, The Negley Brothers, Cameron Molloy & The Drivin’ Wheel and Club Medics. Sound and lighting will be handled by All Sound Pro LLC, Chambersburg.

Tickets are on sale now during business hours at both the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter at 5051 Letterkenny Road West in Chambersburg and the CVAS Thrift Store, 66 South Main Street downtown.

Tickets are just $10 in advance and if not sold out prior to the event date, will be $12 at the door. Doors open at 4:00 pm with music starting promptly at 5:00 pm.

A popular 50/50 drawing as well as several large gift baskets will also be raffled to raise additional funds, with all money going directly to care of the shelter’s animals seeking a forever home.

Last year’s event was attended by 300 guests and raised more than $12,000 to benefit the local animal shelter.
