The Capitol Theatre, in partnership with The Gilmore-Hoerner Endowment, proudly presents what will be Lynn Lerew’s final directing performance with the Hagerstown Municipal Band right on the Capitol Theatre main stage! Joining Lynn and the band are two very talented special guests: Bob Eyer on the Moller Theatre Pipe Organ and vocalist Lisa Turchi! We’re honored to add this farewell show to our Theatre’s extensive history, and hope you join us in giving Lynn Lerew the farewell to retirement he deserves! Non-alcoholic drinks and concessions will be available for purchase the afternoon of this show.

A Victorian Christmas : An Evening’s Entertainment At Balmoral Castle, Scotland Presented by Discover DanceWorks
Prince Albert designed & built Balmoral Castle as a family vacation retreat in Scotland where the Royals would entertain friends & family. The Royal Family’s dance teacher kept a diary while he was there. From this record, we have imagined an evening’s entertainment, brought to life with popular dances, songs, parlour game and period readings. Performers will be dressed in reproduction period clothing.

The Polar Express Movie & Pajama Party is making its annual return! Attendees are invited to partake in our feature in-theme hot cocoa bar. Each ticket will come with one free cup! Our concessions stand will also be open for anyone wanting popcorn or candy as a snack! Everyone is invited to come dressed in their comfiest pjs as you enjoy the classic holiday film on the big screen. Santa will also be making an appearance!

The Chambersburg Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present a recital of Advent and Christmas music on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. There will be no admission charge, but free will donations to the Organ Guild will be gladly accepted. The church is handicapped accessible. All are invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music on St. Paul’s spectacular pipe organ!

The White Christmas Movie & Holiday Social will include a Social Hour in between each movie screening with festive treats, adult-themed beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, & concessions! Everyone will also have a chance to meet Santa! General concessions and drinks will also be available before the start of each screening. Each White Christmas movie screening will slightly differ, with the sing-a-long version at 3pm followed by the classic movie at 6:30 PM. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE 2 SHOWINGS with a social between showings.
