Discover Danceworks (501c3) hosts a Celtic Ceilidh for St Patrick’s Day with popular Irish and Scottish folk & country
dances to traditional music. Come and enjoy this Celtic fun filled evening and join in the dances with your local instructors Nancy Walker and Jef Savage who will teach the dances. No previous experience needed. The basic dance steps are walking to music. For age 12 & up. Singles are WELCOME ～ You do not need to bring a partner!!! We make sure everyone who wants to dance will have the opportunity.

The second and final Book Drop-Off Day for the 38th Annual Friends of Legal Services Book Sale will take place on this Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the MobileWorks building, 2116 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg (next to Snavely’s Garden Corner). The group accepts new and used books, plus CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games, but not encyclopedias, textbooks, or phonograph records. Receipts for tax purposes will be available on request.

Collection boxes will also be available from April 8 to 21 at various stores and offices in the area. The specific locations will be announced soon. The sale itself will take place from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, at the Fayetteville Elementary School, 8 E. Main St. in Fayetteville. Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising and GDC IT Solutions are sponsors of the sale, having provided substantial support for it.

At its annual meeting on February 26, the group elected its 2024 officers: Sue DeVos, President; Joan Norcross, Vice-President; Amy Herrald, Treasurer; and Shirley Shaner, Secretary.

The community is invited to Marlowe Assembly of God, 9045 Williamsport Pike, Falling Waters, WV for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 23rd, 2 – 4 pm, (rain date: Sunday, March 24th). There will be pony rides, moon bounce, obstacle course, face painting, cotton candy and more! The egg hunt will be open to 5th graders and younger and include prize eggs! Of course, the Easter Bunny will be there too! New for this year will be a 9 hole mini-golf course as well as “Blessings for the Children”. This is an opportunity for families to have a blessing prayed over their children. There will be something for everyone including Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck with specialty drinks for purchase!
